Our Founder
My name is Janeth Mayfield, and I have dedicated over 25 years of my life to community service and uplifting those in need. From my early days helping build schools in Colombia, to managing nonprofit organizations in Salt Lake City and Phoenix focused on immigration services, healthcare access, and more, I have always felt called to help others.
My Passion and Mission
After seeing gaps in our local community, I decided to take my experience and connections and launch Relief Smile in 2016. Our mission is to provide underserved individuals and families in Phoenix with essential resources related to housing, food, clothing, education, immigration services, healthcare access, job training, and spreading joy through holiday drives.
Relief Smile Today
Over the past seven years, our small but mighty team of staff, partners, and volunteers has been honored to make a difference for over 30,000 lives across our city. From our Back to School drives to our annual Thanksgiving dinners, I am constantly inspired by people coming together to lift up others.
This website launch marks an exciting new chapter for Relief Smile as we share all the ways you can join our community, whether by donating, volunteering, attending an event, or utilizing our services if you are in need. You are now a part of our story.
